The Delaney at Lake Waco is a rental retirement community in Waco, TX, with no entry fee. Our senior living facility is just 10 minutes southwest of downtown Waco and Baylor University. within close proximity to parks and recreational areas, including Lake Waco and Ridgewood Country Club. The Delaney is also situated near popular retail and entertainment venues, as well as world-class medical facilities, including Baylor Scott & White Medical Center-Hillcrest and Scott and Providence Hospital.

The Delaney features beautifully designed independent senior living apartment homes, assisted living apartments for residents needing help with the activities of daily living and memory care residences for those with Alzheimer’s disease or other related dementias. “Delaney” derives from the French surname deAunou, meaning “of an alder grove.” Alder trees are special because their roots actually improve the soil around them. So an alder grove is not just part of the landscape—it makes the landscape better. That, too, is the mission of The Delaney at Lake Waco. Our goal is to create a retirement community that indelibly connects to our entire area, where we make real contributions to people’s lives, helping them to thrive and flourish. The kindness and friendliness of the staff and residents is evident every day. Plus, we have many activities and music to keep us busy!! Mom had a front row seat as she visited others ahead of her!  About four years ago, mom had a surgery that required rehab on the back end.  The Delaney Lake Waco was a perfect fit.  They had PT available for mom and a staff that loved and cared for her.  In some ways it has been a Waco reunion for her.  She has met some of the dearest people that have brought laughter and joy to everyday life. We highly recommend the Delaney Lake Waco!  As mom says, the food is pretty good, it’s actually really good since we eat with her quite often.   From Candy and Alma at the front desk, Justin that sees her in after we’ve kept her on the go too late, the nursing staff that assist mom and Lori that handles activities and  helped us surprise mom with the most beautiful 90th birthday party, it’s HOME!!  The staff and care have been perfect for mom.  It just provides the quality of life you hope for your parents to enjoy!
